ThThis work is part of the expanded fragment series. It is a work that embodies the characteristics of both sculpture and object, created by layering pieces of fabric to form a structure. This piece is made by physically combining multiple small fragments to construct a solid artefact. The form of the work features geometric cross-sections, with the stacked fabric pieces creating a texture that seems to represent layers of time. Initially, the primary colour was blue denim, but after a certain period, the blue was largely bleached out. The piece is constructed from denim that retains faint traces of blue, taking on a colour close to white.
