The Grey Stories

A fortuitous accident gave life to this hand blown glass sculpture. A stone was placed on the glass and the dark transparent glass rather unusually bent itself around the stone rather than breaking. The impossible became possible. The name of the artwork was inspired by Pelēkie akmens stāsti, one of the most emotionally powerful works of Latvian writer E. Birznieks-Upītis (1871-1960).
