For these sculptural figures, Fflur combined hand-carved Welsh holly wood with disks of Italian vegetable leather. The organic shapes were inspired by natural textures that Fflur has observed on the sea shore. She imagines her works to be alive, each one scientifically documenting the patterns and shapes that embody our relationship with the natural world.
