The Homo Faber Summit takes place from 16 to 18 September 2026 at Fondazione Giorgio Cini on San Giorgio Maggiore Island in Venice. During the Summit, all talks, panels and workshops take place at Conference Hall Lo Squero. All lunches take place at restaurant La Vela. The opening reception takes place by the Garden Café.

Free Homo Faber Shuttle Boats depart every 30 minutes between San-Marco San Zaccaria Pier B1 and San Giorgio Maggiore Island. Alternatively, San Giorgio is also accessible with Vaporetto n°2, from stops including San Marco-San Zaccaria (Pier B) and Santa Lucia train station (transport ticket required). Access from Marco Polo Airport is with the Alilaguna blue line via San Marco-San Zaccaria.

The Summit is free of charge.

No, the Summit is by invitation only and will only be accessible to registered participants.

The summit is exclusively for registered participants, with each invitation valid for one individual. We are unable to accommodate guests of participants.

The welcome reception, networking lunches, programme, and Homo Faber shuttles to/from the island are included. Travel to and from Venice and accommodation in Venice are at the participant’s expense.

Please proceed to the Private Visits desk at the main entrance of Homo Faber 2026 to check in to the Homo Faber Summit and receive your participant badge.

The journey time between San Marco-San Zaccaria (Pier B1) and San Giorgio takes approximately 5-10 minutes.
