This sculpture by Marie De Decker was hand shaped from recycled and bio-based materials and gilded with 24-carat gold, using a filigree process developed by the artist. Inspired by mangrove ecosystems, the piece unfolds as a suspended field of interlaced forms. Gold guides the eye through light, shadow and void, creating an open space of perception and transformation.
