This vase by Rooshad Shroff was hand carved from orange calcite. A hollowed upper form rests against a smaller solid volume, creating a self-supporting structure. Resembling a large pebble leaning against a smaller one for stability, the work transforms two simple ellipsoids into a poised sculptural composition.
