Exhibited in A RAINBOW OF FORMS
Polyamide, Decorative objects
This vase by Gaspard Fleury-Dugy was machine knitted from polyamide as a single piece, and finished with linking to close the form. Harnessing the knitting machine as a 3D printer, the work explores the potential of knitting to create volume, and blends the archetypal form of ancient amphorae with the pixelated language of the digital world.
