Capriccio, l’antiquité rêvée

This wall hanging was designed by Victor Cadène and woven by the Manufacture d'Aubusson Robert Four. The traditionaly employed full-scale drawing of the tapestry was replaced with a digital design to enable online collaboration between the artist and the manufacturer. Creating a dialogue between the antique and the digital, the piece depicts a Roman Eden-like garden blending lush greenery with 18th-century architectural caprices.
