This sculpture by Veera Kulju was cast in vitroporcelain and glazed. Individual popcorns were dipped in liquid ceramic and carefully attached to the surface. During firing, the popcorn burned away, leaving behind their imprint. Hingeing on the cultural association of popcorn with cinema and entertainment, the work uses the snack as a metaphor for detachment and spectatorship.
