Radiolaria Light Tunnel

This sculpture by Nuala O’Donovan was built from individually crafted porcelain elements, assembled into a complex structure. It was fired multiple times, with certain parts selectively removed after firing. Inspired by Ernst Haeckel’s drawings of Radiolaria, marine planktonic organisms, the piece evokes the fractal geometries inherent to natural systems.
