Mangrove tables

These pieces draw direct inspiration from the intricate root systems of mangrove trees. Their interwoven roots, both chaotic and graceful, serve as the visual and conceptual foundation for this series. Each table is constructed using hand manipulated wire mesh, shaped to echo the organic complexity, movement and growth of a mangrove ecosystem. The ceramic tabletop surface offers a tactile contrast and is indicative of the essential functional role of a mangrove shoreline.
