Jersey, My Childhood Home
This piece is an immersive installation in which paper, light and shadows interact. Large sheets of paper hang suspended in a circle which the audience can walk into. The paper features cutouts telling the story of the island of Jersey. The narrative travels from one panel to the next. The imagery is created using negative space. Some parts of the paper are cut away with a scalpel and other parts remain to create silhouette imagery.
