Ochre stone smoke fired vessel
This large pod-shaped ceramic vessel is hand built in coils. Cream, ochre, and yellow slip are added and burnished to a matt finish. After bisque firing, it is fired in sawdust, using a masking technique to create subtle patterns in brown tones.
