Trace_Accumulate06

This sculptural object is constructed by reassembling pieces of tree bark. Once the protective outer layer of a living tree, bark is typically discarded during the milling process. Yet it carries traces of time left by nature and records of growth within its surface. Pieces of different shapes and colours come together to form a single structure. The Trace series addresses the latent vitality within discarded material and reflects the cyclical nature of life in the natural world.
