Moon light
This is a freestanding dry lacquer object. Inspired by the moon, it expresses a wish and prayer to see it through maki-e patterns. The surface is deep black, with only the maki-e areas emitting a deep blue glow. The pedestal has a texture that evokes a cratered surface.
