Through the Layers-Wide
This a wall-mounted piece made using the dry lacquer technique with urushi and linen. It features a softly undulating circular shape. Maki-e, a Japanese lacquer decoration technique, is applied along the flow of the form. Silver powder is used in the maki-e, creating a luminous depth against the black lacquer surface.
