In memoriam of an Ashanti warrior

This quilt depicts a scene from Water for an Ashanti Mother, directed by Gary Tyler while he was chair of the prison drama club. An Ashanti warrior, performed by Mujahid Addul Karim, sits in profile, robed in black against a pale ground with radiating lines. A building and a stylised tree flank the scene, which is framed by a bold yellow border with deep blue circular motifs.
