Saint Christopher

This is a sculpture in patinated metal representing St. Christopher. Made using wrought iron, each element was heated and then hammered or chiselled. The composition is dominated by a wide drape with deep folds that envelops the body and accentuates the feeling of weight and effort in the movement. The dark patina, punctuated by lighter shades, highlights the volumes and traces of the work of the material.
