Mottlecah

This is a large lino print on cotton depicting drought tolerant plant Mottlecah, highlighting species suitable and adapted to climate change. Katharine Gorham uses varying, considered marks from the carving process to bring drama and energy to the large scale piece. The hand print process on the fabric adds textural dimension based on applied pressure and ink, making each piece unique.
