Bust commission
This is a life-sized plaster torso, cast on the eve of the subject’s double mastectomy. It was later embellished with glass beads applied through a contemporary interpretation of pre-Columbian beadwork, creating a detailed sculptural surface. It represents beauty, recovery and enduring resilience.
