Dust to dust 07

This cast metal ring is embedded in pale green velvet inside a handmade fabric-covered box. The box opens like a book to reveal the ring on the right and an imprint of the ring on the left. Layers of melted silver, gold, brass, copper, aluminium and pewter can be seen in the surface of the ring along with traces of other jewellery objects.
