My great grandmother’s wedding

This rectangular hanging tapestry has a background of black and white checked muslin on top of red and white striped cotton. A collage, it includes red knitted wool, white antique handkerchiefs and lace, a bird drawn in black ink, redwork crewel embroidery, an antique drawing of a deer from a postcard, a Punjabi-Romani brooch and red found flower petals.
