Taking flight

This is a 3D woven wall hanging made from vintage papers, linen, cotton, silk and synthetic yarns. Suspended from the top left corner, the piece combines white, bronze and blue metallic papers in the weft with cotton, paper, linen and raffia warp yarns, woven by hand in large-scale herringbone and zigzag twill patterns.
