French Shell

This is one of 20 marbled sheets commissioned for artist Žygimantas Augustinas’ book, part of which was hand bound. The considerable challenge of producing many perfectly identical sheets required thorough preparation and meticulous, consistent work. The marbled paper in grey, black and light yellow tones was used to embellish the book cover. The printed edition, which includes a fragment of marbled paper, was selected among Lithuania’s most beautiful books of 2020.
