Crimson fabricated Americana

This stoneware wall piece pairs wired tiles with a clay slab resembling plywood. Octagonal tiles, finished in layers of glaze and underglaze, shift from crimson to rose and brown, accented by aqua diamonds. Subtle textures arise from impressions of 1950s moulds pressed into the surface.
