This chawan, or large tea bowl, is part of the My Secret Garden series, deals with the theme of memory. These creations are a metaphor for enchanted and slightly melancholic memories. On the outside surface, Ana-Bélen Montero printed flowers from her herbaria using a traditional Japanese method called katagami. The artisan created a wood ash glaze, which makes the image blur after firing at 1250°C in an electric kiln.
