Like a tiny church, formed in a flower, like a bee

This soft sculpture is composed with industrial wool felt that was flat patterned and cut, with handwoven cloth applied to the surface. The form was then stitched into a cube and finished with hand-applied woollen fringing along the edges. It is suspended by filaments to make it appear like it hovers in space.
