Gushibhekile

This hand-thrown table features curvilinear ceramic legs, hand-carved to create ridges and geometric patterns. The tabletop pieces are cut from large slabs of clay and hand-etched with geometric motifs. Once extracted, the tiles are left to dry for a number of weeks, fired and then pieced back together like a puzzle before being attached to the tabletop in their original configuration.
