Crochet sack

This piece is made from a crocheted cotton panel sewn into a vessel shape. After dipping it in porcelain slip, the fabric was cinched and sewn again to refine the shape and allow the rolled rim to stay in place. The soft folds and the slumping of the piece were accentuated by the firing process.
