The Imprint of Volcanoes: Lava

This is a European walnut box with a velvet surface in black, orange and yellow, evoking hot lava. The wood is gouge-carved into volcanic forms, with dense velvet created by intensive hand-needling. This piece is done in collaboration with Ben&Manu.
