This is a sculptural clay vessel made from foraged materials, embedded with rusty wire from the farmlands, pigment from rust, ash from medicinal plants and wildflowers, and bones of a tortoise. It is inspired by years of observing tortoises, and carries fragments of shells and bones found on walks, honouring their quiet persistence.
Homo Faber Finds is a new service aiming to inspire admirers of craft to connect and collaborate with exceptional artisans.
