Finding The Kraal

This sculptural clay vessel is made from hand-foraged materials only. It carries stones, pigments, plants and wire from the kraal area of the farm where Belinda Blignaut was born, along the Eastern cape Coast. This piece is about the journey back to find answers about her life there, which was very closely linked to the spiritual practices of the farm workers.
