Gesture study with threads

This is a solid block of porcelain, made into a decorative piece and shaped into a leaning tablet. Its surface is entirely carved with Gerald Mak’s signature hand motifs with threads intertwining through the fingers. The piece is finished with a layer of satin glaze giving it a smooth surface.
