Now words and beats are how she breathes

In this framed sculptural textile in handmade felt made from wool, silk and cotton, dark indigo wool ribs, accented with gold and magenta highlights, are shaped into an undulating oval form with a dense centre. Kristy’s intention was to evoke the presence of an underwater creature or a seed gathering energy to sprout, its layered materials lending both tension and flow to the composition.
