Mammapappa

This is a watercolour illustration for a children’s book of traditional Italian recipes and rhymes, created for kids and their mothers. It shows a child walking with his mother, meeting a donkey who becomes his travel and mealtime companion. The image features bright, vibrant colours with expressive colour washes. The watercolour is applied more densely, similar to gouache, to enhance emotion.
