This black glass sculpture is made with the slumping technique to form an object reminiscent of folded fabric standing upright. The form is thin; it has sharp edges yet a sense of softness. The surface has been sandblasted to remove shine, then placed in the kiln to fire-polish, achieving a satin-like surface.
