Unfolding Blossom

This is a porcelain sculpture of a folded flower, shaped like a rounded bud just beginning to open. The inside of the gold-rimmed petals shine, while the outer surface reveals partial drawings and paintings in shades of blue. It holds the quiet promise of opening further and revealing more.
