Rocky chaos

Made of assembled clay blocks with scarified surfaces and coated with collected minerals, this sculpture is inspired by the chaotic landscapes of Morocco. The fusion of these minerals during the third firing at 1300°C in a gas kiln vitrifies the surface and reveals the various hues taken on by the iron oxide.
