Earth waves

The marbling effect of this hand-crafted, curled-wave sculpture is achieved using slab and Japanese neriage techniques, which involve layering and folding different coloured clays to produce a multi-tonal pattern. Here, white earthenware and dark brown stoneware are used, finished with only a clear glaze for shine.
