Marquetry floor, Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela

This marquetry floor was made up of 250 cm long boards, forming a central design in the form of a Latin cross. The boards, assembled with mitred biscuit joints, are laid on an existing chestnut wood base, aligning the centre of the cross with that of the lead dome.
