I Love and Protect You

This marquetry box by José Lourenço was crafted from a selection of exotic woods, including yellow goiabão, mahogany, smoked eucalyptus, louro faia, French oak, birdseye, tola, and RW ebony. The exterior features a striking geometric marquetry pattern, with intricate contrasts between light and dark wood tones. The lid is adorned with a symbolic inlaid design of a heart with wings, framed within a detailed border. The interior is lined with rich red fabric and contains compartments, along with concealed drawers and a locking mechanism.
