Hand-embroidered by Sabina Lima, this goldwork piece features gilt wires and threads, silk and cotton thread, organza and wool fabrics, hand-dyed linen, aluminium mesh, crystal beads, bespoke braids, leather, and brass fasteners. Inspired by wildfires and their devastating impact on the climate, this piece of clothing juxtaposes organic tree shapes with flames, symbolising destruction. The wearable top doubles as a sculpture, and the wool base is adorned with goldwork embroidery, fringes, and detachable appliqué leaves. A blend of fashion and design, it evokes urgency to protect vulnerable ecosystems.
