Monumental sculptures of Lions and Unicorns

The lions and unicorns clambering around the spire of the Church of St. George in Bloomsbury, were recreated by Tim Crawley from the baroque originals that had been mysteriously removed in the 19th century. Their form is only known from Hawksmoor’s original drawings and later architectural prints.
