Recreation of a stucco panel from Henry VIII’s Nonesuch Palace
This is a stonework recreation of the figure of a Roman Centurion, one of hundreds of stucco panels from the demolished Nonsuch Palace in Surrey, originally commissioned by Henry VIII in 1538. The panel is closely based on archaeological evidence found at the site.
