Ninho vase

This is a hanging vase made in terracotta clay with white spots. The piece is pear-shaped and trimmed by a strip of decorative white glaze. It is in this nook that aerial plants are housed. The piece is inspired by the nest of the Brazilian bird Cacicus chrysopterus, popularly known as tecelão. The vase was formed by manual modelling with the support of a plaster mould.
