This duo of sake cups showcases the beauty of Japanese zelkova wood, elegantly finished with a deep black urushi (Japanese lacquer) coating. Inside each cup, delicate Nagi leaves are artfully depicted using gold and platinum maki-e, creating a shimmering contrast against the dark lacquer. Nagi leaves are sacred in Japanese tradition. The exterior features intricate line patterns inspired by the veins of the Nagi leaves.
