HOMO FABER FELLOWSHIP
Cockatoo

Cockatoo

The cockatoo is a tall ceramic sculpture., made from earthenware gilded with fine gold. It was made entirely by hand, without the use of moulds. "The representation of the animal is partly realistic in that the morphology and attitude of the animal have been captured. The use of gold enhances the animal's expressiveness," explains Catherine Azoulai.
