Ssanghak-hyungbae

This is a rank badge embroidered with a pair of cranes holding an elixir mushroom in their beaks surrounded by auspicious symbols such as clouds, waves and peonies. The use of silver work and two-colour combination crafted by Heehwa Jo in this piece is rarely found in the history of Korean embroidery.
