This handbag showcases traditional gold embroidery techniques from Seville. This is a co-creation by José Luis Sánchez Expósito as master and his fellow Gonzalo Garcia Cueva, as part of the Homo Faber Fellowship 2023-24. Handmade in silk velvet, leather and 24 carat gold thread with a mariquilla piece attached to the strap, the motif pays tribute to the flowers adorning the chest of the Virgin of Macarena Coronada.
Homo Faber Finds is a new service aiming to inspire admirers of craft to connect and collaborate with exceptional artisans.
