Power of the Forest

This sculpture with organic, twisted forms is made from semi-glossy brass. The brass was fired at 750°C to achieve surface coloration, using the technique called chūkin, a Japanese approach to metal casting. The piece depicts vitality, with a vegetable-inspired shape.
